Stay on Trend: Why Install a Screw-System Home Elevator?

บล็อก KALEA copy1

Currently, home elevators are becoming more popular due to the increasing elderly population, wheelchair users in homes, and rising land prices in prime locations. Building multi-story houses or buildings is a solution for large families who need to climb many flights of stairs, or even for transporting goods or belongings.

1. Requires Minimal Installation Space

If your home is being designed or constructed, or if you already own a home with limited space and haven’t prepared for elevator installation, the size of the installation area is a key factor in choosing the size and system of the elevator.

  • KALEA’s screw elevators, with their shafts, require a minimum installation space of just 1 meter x 1 meter.
  • This includes a larger cabin size than other systems, with over 40 lift sizes to choose from.
  • To accommodate the size of each customer’s home, and can be installed both indoors and outdoors.

As you can see from the image, our lift has a much wider standing area than cable or hydraulic lifts.

2. The lift comes with a lift shaft.

  • It comes with a customizable lift shaft. Clear glass shafts, open spaces, and opaque aluminum shafts for walls are all possible.
  • KALEA Lift can also create lift shafts with glass all around, making the lift appear more spacious and the home look more beautiful. Importantly, the lift shaft is made of premium grade aluminum and is rust-free.
  • And both types of glass shafts are lighter than the commonly seen concrete shafts, so they don’t damage the house structure at the lift mounting points during installation.

3. No elevator pit or machine room required.

  • Because it uses a screw and nut drive system, or a female washer installed on one side of the elevator, there is no need for an upper machine room or elevator pit.
  • If you want the elevator platform or passenger car to be parallel to the floor of the house, the homeowner only needs to build an elevator pit.
Just 6-10 centimeters, or you can place the elevator on the floor and install a ramp at the elevator door for wheelchair access.
Or for easy entry and exit from the elevator.

As seen in the picture, a ramp has been added for wheelchair access. If you don’t want to build an elevator pit, this can be done instead.

4. Modern design and blends in with the interior of the house.

  • Because screw-type elevators come with customizable elevator shafts and door orientations, they allow for design and color choices to match home decor, much like a luxury piece of furniture. This is another important factor in choosing an elevator today.

5. Premium quality materials used in manufacturing.

  • A home elevator should have a long lifespan of 25-30 years to be worthwhile, as it can be used by multiple generations. Therefore, the materials used to manufacture the elevator are extremely important.
  • For this reason, KALEA Lift uses only premium-grade materials meeting American and European standards in its elevator production. For example, the elevator shaft is made from aircraft-grade aluminum, the paint is Premium Powder Coating from Austria, the elevator walls are from the USA, and the genuine leather is hand-stitched from Italy. These superior quality materials ensure a longer lifespan for the elevator.

Another popular choice for long-term installation. Choosing the right elevator system is crucial, considering factors like safety, ease of use, site preparation, and installation space.
